The studio

Buildings that lie lightly

We start with the site: where the sun lands in June, where the summer breeze comes from, and what the ground will give you to build with.

Twenty years of practice across the Northern Rivers and South East Queensland, plus grassroots work in India, Peru and New Caledonia. Every house is modelled for its own climate before a wall is drawn, so it holds a stable temperature on ventilation and thermal mass rather than a compressor.
